Artist's Description

Delaware canal in Delaware City. Boats belonging to the homeowners are docked along the canal. Delaware City originated in 1801. Plans for the town were drawn up in 1826, expecting that it would eventually become a Delaware River port and commercial center to become a rival to Philadelphia. In 1829 Delaware City became an operating base and a way station for important shipping activities because of Its location at the eastern terminal of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.

About Pamela Hyde Wilson

Pamela Hyde Wilson

Hello from slower, lower Delaware. I have always loved photography. The beautiful oil paintings my Grandfather and Mother painted now hang on my walls and are my inspiration of the beauty that surrounds us. Now that I am retired, I am able to enjoy taking pictures of varied subjects and share them. I am the Author of "Pamsy and Me", a book about a Special Needs little girl and have recently submitted writings on triond.com. Selling dolls and gifts on the Internet for many years has kept me busy with doll companies, auctions and the like. Thank you for viewing and voting on my photographs. Please feel welcome to add me to your "Watch List". Philippians 4:13
